Description DESCRIPTION The Ferrous/Non-Ferrous Picker is responsible for separating undesirable materials from required materials to meet customer specifications. They are also responsible for keeping the property clean and organized. This position also helps with metal processing activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Separates scrap metal into designated boxes, drums, or containers Determines the grade of the material Identifies different types of non-ferrous materials Keeps their work areas and other equipment clean and organized Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times Performs other duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS This role is carried out both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education High School Diploma or equivalent Work Experience Previous salvage Skills and Knowledge Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Capacity to multitask and prioritize Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and as a team member Excellent organizational skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Dependable and prompt
