JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker and Packer to join our production warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed and prepared for delivery. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols while handling fresh and frozen fish and shellfish products.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential (salary dependant on level of experience).
  • Experience in picking and/or packing preferred and previous work in the fish or meat business beneficial.
  • Working as part of a team to achieve task completion effectively.
  • Experience with quality control processes is highly valued.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Perform product handling tasks including picking and packing items according to order specifications.
  • Operate pump-trucks safely to load and unload products from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
  • Assist in delivery and receiving operations, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing deliveries are processed accurately.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all packed items meet company standards before dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Handle seafood with care to maintain quality and freshness.
  • Communicate effectively with other warehouse staff and delivery drivers.
  • Working 6 nights per week (Sunday-Friday 10pm-6am)
