Description

Northwest Center is looking for a P&D Service Manager to join our Iconic Big Blue Truck team.
In this position, you can expect to have a hands-on role in managing multiple teams while creating a positive impact in our community. You will be responsible for managing the pickup and delivery of donations across multiple delivery teams and working closely with sales, customer service, and other leaders to ensure successful customer-facing results.
The Big Blue Truck division is the longest sustainable social enterprise of Northwest Center and relies solely on public donations and community involvement. Donations generate revenue crucial for Northwest Center’s programs and services for people of all abilities.
Location: SeaTac, WA
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Wage: $30 - $36.67 per hour

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • One or more years of box truck driving experience
  • Two or more years of experience in a leadership position
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain forklift certification
  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences
  • Software skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software suite and web-based applications
  • Ability to stand/walk on various surfaces for extended periods
  • Comfortable with bending and stooping
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs occasionally

Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safe driving and ensure DOT Compliance
  • Ensuring efficient pickup and delivery of product throughout the Puget Sound area while minimizing operational cost and maximizing operational quality
  • Analyzing operational performance through direct observation, interpretation of reports, and collaboration with others
  • Managing fleet for BBT and assisting other divisions with tracking installations, maintenance, etc…
  • Leading daily employee and/or planning meetings to ensure communication of operational updates and daily goals
  • Supporting sales activity by facilitating communication between customers and sales, marketing, and other departments
  • Maintaining compliance and understanding of all safety programs
  • Training new employees
  • Coordinating large pickups, bin placements, and removals
  • Scheduling store deliveries and trailer unloads
  • Cross-training on warehouse functions
