To learn more about GSCY, visit our website: http://gscymca.org Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Pilates Reformer and Reformer Tower Instructor to lead safe, effective, and engaging classes for participants of varying fitness levels. The instructor will provide high-quality instruction rooted in proper technique, alignment, and mindful movement while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead Pilates Reformer and Reformer Tower classes following established class formats and safety guidelines Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on or verbal cueing as appropriate Modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels, injuries, and physical limitations Ensure proper equipment setup, use, and maintenance before and after each class Monitor participants to ensure safe execution of exercises and prevent injury Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive class atmosphere Maintain current certifications and attend required trainings or staff meetings Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to deliver a professional class experience Requirements Current Pilates Reformer certification from a nationally recognized program (Tower certification preferred) CPR/AED and First Aid certification Previous teaching experience in Pilates Reformer and/or Tower classes preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and Pilates principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits of working part-time at GSCY include: FREE Individual Membership Access to any YMCA in our Association. 10% Discount on most programming at Greater Somerset County YMCA.
