The Pilot Crew Scheduling Training Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for new pilot crew schedulers. This role focuses on developing skills for both new hires and existing schedulers, to ensure proficiency in scheduling processes and systems. The incumbent will provide refresher and remedial training to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postgraduate degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in crew scheduling, training, instructional roles, or a related field, preferably within the aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in crew scheduling systems and software.
  • In-depth understanding of CARs and ALPA contract.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, design and deliver effective training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and departments.
  • Certification in training and development or a related field is a plus.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new pilot crew schedulers.
  • Strengthen the scheduling knowledge and competencies of new and current schedulers through focused training initiatives.
  • Provide refresher and remedial training to existing schedulers to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure training materials are up-to-date and aligned with current policies and procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of training activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with CARs and ALPA contract in all crew scheduling and training activities.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to crew scheduling.
  • Gather feedback from trainees to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
