Description Pilot GIV - Based at DTW General Description The successful candidate joins a group of three pilots serving as Pilot-in-Command with responsibility for the safety of passengers and crew and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. They supervise the flight crew and ensure that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations and Pentastar Aviation’s 91 FOM. The candidate must work as a team member in a crew environment, be safety-oriented, possess strong leadership and CRM skills and embody superior customer service. They are responsible for all aspects of flight planning and decision making regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. When not flying, they may perform other general department duties. As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 250 hours per year. The client generally gives at least 48 hours’ notice prior to trips. Qualifications · US FAA ATP Certificate · Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA First Class medical certification · Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time · Large cabin Gulfstream experience required · Current and qualified or prior experience with GIV type rating preferred · Bachelor’s degree preferred · Ability to manage changing work schedule · Candidate must be able to show at the aircraft within 2 hours of initial notification · No accidents, incidents or violations · Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Performing safe and timely flights for private VIP operations Ensure all aspects of aircraft readiness for upcoming trips Maintaining communications with operations and maintenance personnel Performance and flight planning Maintaining financial and operational records required for each flight Foster an environment that promotes teamwork and encourages crew members to strive for excellence Candidates must be rested and fit for flights. Miscellaneous- Must hold a US passport or be a resident with the legal right to work in the US. Lifting requirements- Up to 50lbs Maintain confidentiality of the client and Pentastar Aviation Co-captain role
