Summary The Pilot Projects Assistant supports the work of Pilot Projects Coordinator. This includes but is not limited to supporting all aspects of the pilot projects (e.g. home-delivered meals to expanded populations). The primary responsibility of the Pilot Projects Assistant is completing intake services for referred clients of our Medicaid and Maternal Health programs and providing client support for those programs. This is a part-time, hourly position; Monday through Friday with core hours of 9:00 am – 2:00 pm/10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Private Pay Home Delivered Meals Organize frozen meal boxes for delivery Support Private Pay drivers Maternal Health Pilot Project Perform client intake services Support client program needs (e.g. taking cancelation calls, answering client questions) Prepare weekly grocery order for delivery dispatch Support meal box/food bag route drivers Medicaid Meal Service Program Perform client intake services Support client program needs (e.g. taking cancelation calls, answering client questions) Support meal box route drivers Other duties, per the ever-changing needs of the organization Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Commitment to Meals on Wheels of RI’s mission & values Commitment to a work environment that promotes DEI practices Ability to manage multiple projects and adjust workflow as needed to meet deadlines and goals Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Working knowledge of Microsoft TEAMS Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation Education and Experience 1-3 years of experience in a nonprofit setting High School degree or equivalent education or experience Experience working with diverse populations Clear results of a background and motor vehicle record check Community Health Worker Certification, preferred Spanish Language Proficiency, preferred Work Environment Work is performed in a building. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the environment is sometimes fast paced. Protocol for safety and security is a priority. Occasional work after normal business hours. Must be able to drive to other locations such as external meetings within the state. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands; balance, stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk or hear.
