ABOUT THE ROLE

A full-time, permanent position is available for immediate start at our iconic Barkly Downs Station, spread over 2.3 million acres, an hour and a half from Mt Isa Queensland, just on the Northern Territory border.
Reporting to the Property Manager with a dotted line to ACC’s Corporate Chief Pilot, your time will be shared between flying our well maintained Cessna 182 for property surveillance, completing aircraft/flight records and maintenance activity, and being a part of the crew where you’ll learn and undertake other aspects of general station operations .
This is an ideal role someone wishing to get their hours up and who is willing to give a 12 month commitment to us.
It’s a close team of about 26 crew members at Barkly who enjoy top staff facilities, social club & rec room, WIFI, state of the art kitchen & dining, within a welcoming homestead environment.

Along with your commercial Pilot’s licence, you’re a positive team player who is flexible and willing to contribute to the team and undertake other station duties when you’re not flying, as well as:

• More than 200 hours flying experience
• A polite, respectful and professional manner
• The ability to accurately maintain logbooks and aircraft records
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulations
• Physical fitness to safely undertake physical aspects of station work and meet CASA medical and licencing requirements
• Low level flying endorsement and/or instrument rating is highly regarde
