Description
I. Job Summary Responsible for all phases of the operation of aircraft on assigned trips with a major emphasis on safety and control of the aircraft. When assigned as Trip Lead Pilot for a trip, a Trip Lead assumes command responsibility for the aircraft and crew and is operationally responsible to the Director of Aviation. When assigned as Non-Trip Lead, this Pilot is operationally responsible to the designated Trip Lead. These relationships remain in effect, regardless of which pilot is flying the aircraft or which pilot seat is occupied. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works within WM Aviation Department to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service. Pilots the aircraft, reviews emergency procedures and briefs passengers regarding these procedures Ensures the airworthiness of the aircraft. Computes aircraft performance in accordance to the conditions of the flight and ensures limitations are not exceeded. Researches current weather conditions along with forecasts, trends, "notices to airmen" and Temporary Flight Restrictions for points of departure, destinations and alternates on the route of the flight, to ensure safety. Calculates Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) for the flight plans and files them with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Ensures that all pilot, aircraft and passenger qualifications and documentation is current and meets regulations for federal and state operations. Addresses passenger needs such as security requirements, ground transportation, catering and baggage III. Qualifications A. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED accredited Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) License FAA Pilot certificate, with commercial instrument FAA Class I Medical Certificate English proficient Valid passport Valid automobile driver’s license B. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent, with three or more years of previous experience 500 Turbine hours International Flights experience IV.
