Position Summary Reporting to the 703/704 Chief Pilot, Perimeter Medevac Pilots transport thousands of passengers each year. Whether a First Officer or a Captain, your number one priority is to conduct each flight safely, taking into consideration on-time performance and the comfort of each passenger. The industry regulations change continually and pilots must keep current on all literature. Further, pilots are expected to achieve an intimate mechanical knowledge of the aircraft they fly. All pilots are Transport Canada approved individuals who have met and exceeded the qualification standards for their position. The Medevac Pilots work closely with the other members of the crew and flight followers. They must be in constant communication to ensure that Medevac transfers are performed efficiently and effectively. Personal Characteristics Must be fluent in English Highly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environment Professional and respectful, with a positive work attitude Timely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essential Motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective verbal and written communication skills Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with all departments, business partners and customers Superior time management skills, multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner Customer Service-oriented with a commitment to exceptional service Strong problem solving and analytical skills High level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communities Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Conduct flights with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual Assist the PIC in the management and operation of the flight, including participation in the execution of all cockpit procedures Fuel the aircraft Provide a thorough pre-flight aircraft inspection on behalf of the Captain Lift, load and secure patients, cargo, baggage and freight Assist medical crew – when required and appropriate Brief passengers in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Standard Operation Procedures Complete post-flight aircraft inspections Focus on flying skills and knowledge improvement with the intention of one day being ready to assume a Captain position Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System Continue to meet and exceed the Transport Canada Qualification standards for a Pilot Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent Commercial Pilot License Category 1 Medical Current Group 1 Instrument Rating500 hours total time Canadian citizenship or ability to work in Canada unrestricted Pilots must be fluent in English and be able to demonstrate effective verbal and listening comprehension Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record check required Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations required Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset Valid Passport required Valid Driver License required Working Conditions Physically able to perform all listed job duties Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periods Ability to lift, load and secure patients, cargo, baggage and freight When on scheduled shift, accommodation arranged in residence at remote base you are assigned to. Responsibilities

Pilots are responsible for conducting flights safely and efficiently, adhering to all regulations and company procedures. This includes assisting the Pilot in Command, performing pre- and post-flight inspections, managing cargo and passengers, and continuously improving flying skills.
