    PIPE FOREMAN –  DELAWARE VALLEY PAVING EXCAVATION DIVISION DELAWARE VALLEY PAVING IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED PIPE FOREMAN TO LEAD UNDERGROUND UTILITY AND PIPE INSTALLATION CREWS WITHIN OUR EXCAVATION DIVISION. THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING DAILY FIELD OPERATIONS RELATED TO STORM SEWER, SANITARY SEWER, WATER MAIN, AND DRAINAGE INSTALLATIONS WHILE ENSURING PROJECTS ARE COMPLETED SAFELY, EFFICIENTLY, AND ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of underground utility construction, crew management, equipment coordination, and site safety practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise and lead pipe and utility crews on excavation and underground utility projects * Coordinate daily work activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other field personnel * Read and interpret blueprints, utility plans, grades, and specifications * Ensure proper installation of: * Storm sewer systems * Sanitary sewer systems * Water mains * Drainage structures * Underground utility systems * Monitor trench safety, shoring, and OSHA compliance requirements * Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and manpower needs * Perform daily jobsite planning and communicate production goals to crews * Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards and project specifications * Track daily production, manpower, and material usage * Identify and resolve field issues proactively * Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies * Maintain professional communication with inspectors, customers, subcontractors, and internal teams * Assist with scheduling and sequencing of work to maintain project timelines * Train and mentor crew members and equipment operators QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of experience in underground utility, pipe, or excavation construction * Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred * Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and utility installation practices * Ability to read construction drawings and grade stakes * Knowledge of OSHA trench safety regulations * Experience operating or working around heavy equipment * Strong communication and leadership skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment * Valid driver’s license required * CDL preferred but not required * Bilingual in Spanish and English is desirable PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions * Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work around heavy equipment and active construction zones WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive compensation * Health benefits * 401(k) program * Paid time off * Career growth opportunities * Stable, year-round work opportunities * Opportunity to work on large-scale paving, excavation, and utility projects ABOUT DELAWARE VALLEY PAVING Delaware Valley Paving [https://delawarevalleypaving.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com] is a rapidly growing construction company specializing in paving, excavation, grading, and site development projects across the United States.
