Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Operate various tools and equipment such as plasma cutters, iron worker, and hand tools.
  • Assemble fabricated parts using various techniques.
  • Read and interpret schematics and diagrams.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
  • Previous experience in fabrication and welding.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of different welding techniques including stick welding.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes or other lifting equipment is a plus.
  • Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; stand for long periods of time.
  • Comply with all B&I safety procedures.
  • Drug test, background check and a clean driving record are pre-employment requirements.
