Description Pipe Welder Location: 17102 LA-330, Abbeville, LA 70510 Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder with a strong background in structural fabrication and pipe welding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in welding procedures, inspection, and maintaining quality standards throughout all stages of the welding process. This position requires a high level of precision, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Verify welding process/procedure required for each project through the Shop Foreman and Shop QA/QC Representative (to be noted on each Fabrication Traveler issued with drawings). Verify or assist with the verification of fit-up prior to weld-out as required. Complete and inspect all weld passes. Verify the correct Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) before beginning welding tasks. Be ultimately responsible for the quality and completeness of work, including removal of any buckshot. Ensure 100% penetration is achieved on all pipe welds, including hydro-welds. Inspect all welding equipment (e.g., welding machines, leads, flux-core boxes, grinders) at the start of every shift. Clean and apply stencil/stamp 3/8” from every weld upon completion. Welds must also be marked every three (3) feet along the weld length. Show up to work on time and as scheduled. Complete and discuss a thorough Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) prior to starting each task. Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and the company. Sweep and maintain a clean, safe work area daily or as needed. Qualifications Preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience in fabrication. Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding procedures. Proficient in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) procedures. Experience welding subsea equipment. Ability to learn and perform other welding procedures such as stainless and Inconel welding.
