OVERVIEW The Pipe Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating piping systems in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet safety, blueprint specifications, and industry standards. ---------------------------------------- SHIFT(S): Day Shift Available ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL DO * Perform welding using assigned techniques (MIG and others as required) * Read and interpret mechanical drawings, weld symbols, and P&IDs * Select and apply appropriate wire and filler materials for various metals, including steel alloys and aluminum * Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters (amps, volts, etc.) * Use conventional and precision measuring instruments * Complete process inspections, certifications, and documentation * Perform basic maintenance and inspection of welding equipment * Conduct finish grinding using manual and power tools * Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures * Support production needs and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL NEED * High school diploma or GED * Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment * Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding processes * Ability to read blueprints, pipe drawings, and instrumentation diagrams * Knowledge of pipe schedules, base materials, and welding applications * Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment * Ability to pass an internal welding test * Strong attention to detail and workmanship * Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) ---------------------------------------- PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS * Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly * Work performed in a shop environment (non-climate-controlled) * Exposure to varying temperatures and shop elements * Stand and/or work for up to 10 hours per day, up to 6 days per week * Frequent bending, reaching, and standing throughout the shift * Requires good vision and ability to distinguish colors * Frequent use of hands for tools and welding tasks * Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility * Must follow all PPE and safety policies in the manufacturing facility * Ability to work safely in a high-noise environment (hearing protection recommended) ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive pay (based on experience) * Paid Time Off (for eligible employees) * Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance options * 401(k) Retirement Plan * Career growth opportunities * Safe, team-oriented work environment WHAT IT'S LIKE Apache Workforce is committed to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
