PIPE WELDER (TIG) Locations: Houston, TX 77029, 77045 & 77051 Day & Night Shifts Available Pay: $20.00–$33.00/hour DOE Night Shift Premium: Additional 10% shift differential on top of the offered rate POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders with strong GTAW (TIG) and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux Core) welding experience to join a leading manufacturing team in Houston. This position is responsible for welding, fabrication, and quality inspection activities in accordance with customer specifications, blueprints, and welding procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform TIG, MIG, and Flux Core welding on pipe and related components * Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings * Set up welding equipment and adjust welding parameters as required * Select proper filler metals and welding materials for various alloys and applications * Inspect welds and complete required quality documentation * Perform routine maintenance and inspections on welding equipment * Utilize precision measuring tools and gauges * Assist with material inventory audits and material tracking * Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles * Follow all company safety policies and procedures * Wear required PPE and participate in safety training * Perform additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 5 years of pipe welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment * Dual certification in GTAW (TIG) and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux Core) preferred * Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, weld symbols, and measuring instruments * Knowledge of pipe schedules, materials, and welding processes * Ability to pass an internal welding test * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic math skills and measurement proficiency * Good verbal and written English communication skills EDUCATION * High School Diploma or GED preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT * Manufacturing/shop environment * Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs frequently * Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work on your feet for up to 10 hours per shift * Ability to work up to 6 days per week as needed * Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned facility * Safety glasses required; hearing protection recommended * Steel-toe boots required WHAT WE OFFER ✅ Competitive Pay Based on Experience ✅ Day & Night Shift Opportunities ✅ 10% Night Shift Differential ✅ Overtime Opportunities Available ✅ Weekly Pay ✅ Long-Term Career Opportunities
