Engineering Trades Australia are currently recruiting experienced Pipe Welders for a busy workshop + site roles based in Brisbane.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Pipe Welders looking for consistent Monday-Friday work, with occasional Saturday shifts available.

THE ROLE

Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be responsible for pipe welding, fabrication and assembly across a range of industrial projects.

Duties may include:

• TIG, MIG, Stick and/or Flux Core pipe welding
• Welding carbon and stainless-steel pipework
• Pipe fabrication, fit-up, alignment and preparation
• Reading and interpreting isometric drawings and welding specifications
• Pipe cutting, beveling, preparation and tacking
• Fabrication and assembly of industrial pipework
• Completing welds to required quality and specifications
• General workshop fabrication and maintenance
• Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and quality

WHAT'S ON OFFER

• $58 per hour + penalties
• Monday-Friday
• 10-hour days

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experienced Pipe Welder
• Strong pipe welding and fabrication experience
• TIG welding experience highly regarded
• Experience with carbon and/or stainless-steel pipe
• Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings
• Strong pipe fit-up and fabrication skills
• Industrial, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing or heavy industrial experience advantageous
• Relevant welding qualifications/tickets
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Reliable and able to work effectively within a team
