Key Responsibilities * Responsible for installing, fitting, and assembling welded pipes used in the oil field industry. * Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications. * Measure cut prep and lay out process pipe * Ensure welding quality meets codes and standard * Inspect welds for defects * Work with tools such as grinders, torches, pipe threaders, and welding machines Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Good math, measurement, and problem-solving skills * Strong knowledge of pipe layout, and welding technics * Follows safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Physical and Working Conditions  * Offshore oil platform environment exposed to weather, noise, moving equipment, and confined spaces. * Rotational schedule 14/14 * Extended work schedules may be required. * Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and carrying equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.  Minimum Qualifications  * High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience). * Basic computer skills with experience using MS Office, Outlook, and internet applications. * Ability to pass required offshore safety training, physical examination, and drug/alcohol screening. This position is located on an offshore oil platform in Federal waters off the coast of Southern California.
