About Us

Established in 2011, MFE is a trusted mechanical, fabrication and engineering services provider supporting clients across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors throughout Queensland. With operations in Chinchilla and Toowoomba, MFE has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality project work, workshop fabrication and site maintenance services.

As part of Global Group, MFE combines the strength of a growing Australian-owned group with the hands-on, regional capability and strong client relationships we’re known for. Together, we offer broader project exposure, career opportunities and the chance to contribute to major projects across Australia.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for talented people who share our commitment to quality, safety and teamwork and want to build their career with a supportive, high-performing team.

Toowoomba Workshop | Monday–Friday | Casual or Permanent Opportunity

MFE is looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our Toowoomba Workshop team and support a strong pipeline of upcoming works.

With workload continuing to build through to November, this is a great opportunity to join a busy workshop environment where you’ll work across a variety of piping and fabrication activities and play an important role in delivering quality outcomes for our projects and clients.

Whether you’re looking for the flexibility of casual employment or the stability of a permanent position, we’re open to discussing the option that works best for the right person.

Working alongside our Workshop Supervisor and broader trades team, you’ll undertake pipe fitting, fabrication and maintenance activities in accordance with drawings, job packs and project specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and job packs
  • Pipe fitting and fabrication activities
  • Welding across various steel types where appropriately qualified
  • Mechanical maintenance, dismantling, repair and reassembly of equipment
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Supporting other trades and workshop activities as required
  • Completing work to required quality, safety and productivity standards
  • Undertaking quality checks and identifying defects or non-conformances
  • Working collaboratively with supervisors to meet daily priorities and project deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and LEAN/5S practices
