SUMMARY

Complete Utility Contractors (CUC) is searching for a permanent, full-time, career-minded Pipelayer to join our team and bring with them experience and confidence in installing various types (Ductile Iron, PVC, Concrete, HDPE, Hydro/Tel, etc.) of underground utilities to the local and project standards and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Installing various types (Ductile Iron, PVC, Concrete, HDPE, Hydro/Tel, etc.) of underground utilities to the local and project standards and specifications.
  • Ensuring utilities are being installed at correct grade and elevations.
  • Utilizing a variety of tools and equipment, including but not limited to: pipe lasers, cut-off saws, and other hand and gas powered tools.
  • Maintaining, cleaning, and caring for Company tools and equipment.
  • Working around heavy equipment and utilizing hand signals.
  • Basic rigging and inspection of pipe.
  • Maintaining good employee morale, communication, and teamwork.
  • Understanding OH&S safe work practices and procedures and following them consistently.
  • Providing leadership and aid in training junior employees.
  • Providing feedback to supervisors and management on process improvements.
  • Identifying problems and opportunities for innovation and team coordination.
  • Completing other tasks as required, such as site housekeeping, assisting with trench box assembly, installing backflow preventors, and assisting with bypass pumping.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks.
  • Assist in rigging operations as needed to support project requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to equipment operation.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress.
