We look forward to reviewing your application! What you will be doing The Pipe Layer is responsible for installing underground piping systems for heavy civil highway construction projects. This role requires an understanding of pipe installation, grade control, trench safety, and basic math functions used for layout and flow calculations. The Pipe Layer works closely with equipment operators, laborers, and supervisors to ensure installations meet project specifications and safety standards. Install underground pipe systems including RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe), HDPE, and PVC in accordance with plans and specifications Perform basic math calculations for pipe grades, slopes, and elevations Understand and interpret layout markings, stakes, and cut sheets Ensure proper bedding, alignment, and joint installation Assist with setting pipes to grade using lasers, levels, or grade stakes Follow and enforce trench safety requirements, including shoring, sloping, and access/egress Work safely around heavy equipment in an active highway construction environment Identify and report unsafe conditions, improper installations, or plan discrepancies Installs pipes and fixtures. Inspects and tests installed pipe systems and pipelines. Maintains and repairs plumbing systems. Cleans drains, removes obstructions, and repairs or replaces broken pipe and fixtures. Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan. Performs additional assignments per management’s direction. What we are looking for High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with tools including drills, saws, welding torches, press fitting tools, and drain cleaning tools.
