Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s - no direct access to public transportation Perks: Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test) Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Pipelayer Responsibilities: Directs activities within the trench to ensure the pipe is laid to the designed vertical and horizontal tolerances using levels or lasers. Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding, cementing or sealing with glue. Monitors backfill of pipe bedding to ensure proper haunch support. Install and repair sanitary and storm water, sewer structures and pipe systems. Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position. Pipelayer Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a pipelayer. Responsible for assembling, connecting and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes.
