We are looking for experienced Seasonal Piping and Grading Technicians for a project in between Merritt and Spences Bridge.

Responsibilities:
The Piping and Grading Technician is responsible for performing earthworks and the installation of piping systems for water, sewage, and drainage projects. This role includes operating heavy machinery, such as excavators and bulldozers, to prepare construction sites and ensure pipes are correctly aligned and installed. The technician ensures the quality and integrity of underground utilities and grading work, while maintaining safe and efficient work practices on-site. This role is essential for ensuring proper installation and function of utility systems.
- Perform earthworks, grading, and installation of pipes for water, sewage, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and trenchers to prepare construction sites for grading and pipe installation.
- Ensure pipes are properly aligned, leveled, and securely connected as per project specifications.
- Work closely with the site supervisor to ensure all grading and piping work meets the required standards.
- Conduct inspections to ensure the integrity of pipes and surrounding earthworks before backfilling.
- Maintain and service construction equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with site cleanup and ensure compliance with environmental regulations during excavation.

You Possess:
- Proven experience in grading and pipe installation, with strong skills in operating construction machinery.
- Knowledge of trenching, pipe laying, and grading techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging conditions.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or related fields is a plus.
