JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Piping Designer to join our dynamic team.
The Senior Piping Designer will be responsible for leading a drafting team whose responsibility will be preparing layouts and designs of complex piping systems utilizing modeling software. They may occasionally be called upon to function as a Project Lead, Drafting Checker, or Coordinator on projects.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in drafting mechanical components, layouts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and/or packaged skid units.
• Proficient software experience preferred/required with PDMS (AVEVA E3D), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in 2D and 3D, paper/model space, dynamic blocks, xrefs, layering, plot styles, etc.
• Competent in developing and updating Site Plans, Equipment Plans, Piping Plans and Elevations, Piping Isometric Drawings, and 3D Models.
• MUST have the knowledge of what is required to design and draft a piping project from start to finish.
• Be a self-starter, manage your time well, and be able to work with little to no direction.
• Ability and knowledge to set up, maintain, and document company drafting and design standards.
• Also be able to understand and apply the customer’s drafting/design standards to drawings and models as required.
• Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
