Description
Develop and maintain 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D. Prepare piping layouts, equipment layouts, and general arrangement (GA) drawings. Generate piping isometrics, orthographic drawings, and fabrication drawings. Create and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) as required. Perform piping routing considering process requirements, construct ability, and maintenance access. Coordinate piping design activities with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and piping deliverables. Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards. Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts within the 3D model. Support design reviews, HAZOP reviews, and construct ability assessments. Incorporate comments from clients, engineering teams, and site personnel. Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation according to company procedures. Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 3–10 years of piping design experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Energy sectors. Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD. Experience in developing 3D models, piping layouts, and isometric drawings. Strong understanding of piping components, valves, fittings, and support systems. Familiarity with P&IDs, plot plans, and equipment layout drawings. Knowledge of piping codes and standards such as: ASME B31.3 API standards ISO standards Ability to interpret engineering specifications and vendor drawings. Good communication and coordination skills.
