We’re Hiring: Piping Designer Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Build Your Career with a Trusted Regional Leader Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and ship repair services for the oil & gas and marine sectors. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Designer to support engineering design activities and deliver accurate piping layouts, drawings, and documentation for various projects. Key Responsibilities · Prepare detailed piping layouts, isometric drawings, and general arrangement (GA) drawings based on project requirements. · Develop 2D and 3D models using design software (AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, or similar). · Review P&IDs, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate design implementation. · Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability. · Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. · Generate material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement activities. · Incorporate design changes, revisions, and as-built updates as required. · Support clash detection and resolve design conflicts in coordination with other disciplines. · Maintain proper documentation and version control of all design deliverables. · Assist in site visits and provide technical support during fabrication and installation. · Ensure adherence to company quality and HSE standards in all design activities. · Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Lead Designer. Qualifications & Experience · Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. · Experience: Minimum 3–6 years of experience in piping design within oil & gas, marine, or EPC projects. · Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, or equivalent. · Strong understanding of piping design, P&IDs, and industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API). · Experience in 3D modeling and clash detection is preferred. · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. · Good communication and coordination skills. · Proficient in MS Office. · Fluency in English (mandatory). Responsibilities
