A Piping Field Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Thacker Pass, NV area. A subcontractor field supervisor responsible for coordinating planning, safety, quality, and technical activities across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project execution on complex industrial sites.

responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct subcontractor activities through coordination with their management staff.
  • Provide daily oversight and ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Review and monitor subcontractor construction schedules, resource plans, and equipment/material needs.
  • Approve construction methods, manning plans, and logistics as required.
  • Monitor installation processes to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and vendor requirements.
  • Enforce safety policies and quality standards on-site as per field construction management.
  • Assist construction engineers and field crews in interpreting engineering and vendor documents.
  • Coordinate technical solutions between subcontractors, engineers, and field professionals.
  • Work with design teams to resolve constructability issues.

Skills:

  • Experience with direct hire craft preferred.
  • Contract management knowledge.
  • Understanding of company work processes and standard procedures.
  • Background in mining and metals projects.
  • Familiarity with SAP tools (ACONEX, TEAMWorks, PTR, eSub, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and database tools.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 10-13 years of experience, or
  • 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
