JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates and supervises all aspects of the Table Games during an assigned shift.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Requires significant periods of standing, walking, reaching, and bending with periods of speaking and listening. Requires attention to detail and alertness during an entire shift. May be involved in verbal confrontations with guests as disputes arise. Must be confidential.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Requires high school diploma or GED. Must have at least six (6) months of floor person experience and knowledge of game protection techniques. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.
Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work directly with the general public. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Must have general knowledge of computers. Must have good interpersonal skills and possess tact when dealing with verbal confrontations. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Must be flexible with work shifts and days off. Must be able to meet all internal supervisory or higher, training and education requirements.
Preference: Members of the Meskwaki Nation and other Native American Tribes who are qualified applicants are encouraged to apply and will be given preference in accordance to established procedures.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Oversees all functions in the Pit during an assigned shift.
  • Monitors games activities for adherence to regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinates Pit employee staffing appropriate for guest volumes.
  • Maintains and orders new or replacement cards or dice when necessary during an assigned shift.
  • Enters table game and guest information into computer system.
  • Orders chip fills and credits as necessary during an assigned shift.
  • Corrects floor person and dealer mistakes when required.
  • Resolves disputes with guests.
  • Oversees drop box removal at the end of each shift.
  • Ensures game protection techniques are enforced.
  • Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
  • Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
  • Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Meskwaki Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
  • Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
  • Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
  • May issue Gaming comps or point redemption comps to customers in accordance with established policies and procedures.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB DUTIES

  • Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.
  • Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Acts as the Shift Manager in their absence or when assigned the duty.
  • May be called upon or assigned to teach at Training Center.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have the authority to; make decisions necessary for carrying out the above listed job duties, scheduling, appraising employee performance, issuing disciplinary action in concurrence with the Live Games Director, and resolving disputes in pit. Can recommend to the Live Games Director; performance standards and measures, policy and procedure changes, promotions, demotions, transfers, hiring and terminations. This position may be assigned further supervisory authority when directed by executive management. This position directly supervises the Floor Person. This position has signatory authority to order fills and credits, fill and credit slips, drop box storage cabinet key log as requested, opening/closing table inventory sheet, master pit sheets (Pit Credit Records), and permanent history cards.
