The Imperial Hotel Dundalk is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Chef with experience working with wood-fired ovens. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing authentic pizzas using fresh ingredients and traditional methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality pizzas using a wood-fired oven, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
  • Make fresh dough daily and manage proofing, stretching, and topping preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organised pizza station, following HACCP and food safety standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
  • Work closely with the kitchen team and Head Chef to contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food presentation at all times
  • Communicate effectively in English with team members and, when needed, guests

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Pizza Chef, preferably with wood-fired ovens
  • Strong understanding of traditional pizza preparation techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good level of spoken English
  • HACCP knowledge or certification (preferred)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
