Description

As a Pizza Chef, you will be the backbone of the kitchen. You’ll prep ingredients, make and manage dough, assemble each pizza by hand, track and optimize inventory, and ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders. This role requires technical skill, discipline in food safety, and a hustle mentality to keep up with demand without sacrificing quality.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a pizza kitchen, fast-casual restaurant, or similar high-volume food prep environment.
  • Proven proficiency in dough handling and pizza assembly.
  • Strong organizational skills around prep and inventory.
  • Basic food safety knowledge; certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
  • Comfortable with shift work, including weekends and peak delivery hours.
  • Good communication in English; additional languages a plus.
  • UAE work eligibility (visa/work permit) as required.

Responsibilities
  • Ingredient Prep: Prepare sauces, cheeses, toppings, and other components to recipe and par specifications; ensure freshness and proper rotation.
  • Dough Production: Mix, ferment, proof, and portion dough; adjust for consistency and daily volume.
  • Pizza Assembly: Hand-make pizzas per order, ensuring correct toppings, presentation, cook readiness, and adherence to recipe standards.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Track usage vs. par, log waste, conduct daily/shift counts, and notify management of expected shortages or overages.
  • Order Dispatch: Coordinate the final staging and handoff of orders; ensure accuracy, proper packaging, and that delivery timing is optimized.
  • Food Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean workstation; follow Dubai food safety and sanitation requirements; regularly sanitize equipment and surfaces.
  • Cross-functional Support: Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, equipment checks, and any other tasks that fall under kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Taste checks, visual inspection, and consistency enforcement on every batch.
