We are a new Restaurant opening very soon in Nanaimo offering a traditional pizzeria experience for our amazing community.
We are no strangers to this game, we will be offering a wide range and variety of round, square & Neapolitan pies, traditional sandwiches, hero’s, calzones and much more!
Carbone Pizzeria is currently on the lookout for enthusiastic Pizzaiolo/Pizza Cooks to assist with our high volume, farm to table, Italian/Canadian menu. This position is perfect for someone who is eager to learn and grow with an expanding company.
Who You Are
You want to be a chef or currently are an experienced chef
You are responsible, punctual, and able to self-supervise
You are looking for opportunities to grow and develop your skills
Must-Have
Full-time availability; mornings, evenings and nights. You must be able to work weekends!!!
The ability to work unsupervised; you’ll be opening and closing a kitchen line
Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience or combination of culinary education and experience to lead the kitchen
Experience in hospitality and kitchen but no previous history with pizza, but are willing to learn
Leadership experience
Nice to Have
Accreditation from a culinary school is an asset, but not required
Experience in a high pace kitchen

Compensation is within industry standards and includes extended benefits and participation in the tip pool. The PH group is expanding so there are opportunities for upward movement within the group and different cities.

Salary: $17.00-$21.00 per hour and higher based on experience. Culinary students and experienced chefs can make upward of $25.00 per hour.
