San Gennaro is a family owned and operated café that prides itself on being at the forefront of roman-style pizza, desserts and coffee culture in Montreal.
We are currently looking for a full-time pizza maker. You will be responsible for making a variety of pizzas according to San Gennaro recipes in the afternoon from 1 :30 pm to 8:00 pm (to close). San Gennaro is open everyday from Sunday to Saturday.
This position involves preparing the pizza dough, preparing various ingredients, monitoring cooking times and managing orders. The pizza maker is also responsible to maintain a clean workstation while properly following kitchen safety protocol.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with food preparation and food handling
• Ability to follow recipes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimum one-year experience in a similar role

• Prepare pizzas according to San Gennaro recipes
• Prepare pizza dough and ingredients
• Monitor the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times
• Manage all food orders and ensure they are completed in a timely manner
• Hand off and package pizzas accordingly
• Ensure food preparation and storage areas are clean and meet health and safety standards
• Make other menu items as needed with the support of the kitchen staff
• Monitor inventory
