Buco Pizzeria + Vino Bar is a Neapolitan pizza and wine bar. We specialize in fresh, modern Italian entrees, grilled dishes, desserts and Napoletana pizza. Our EPCOR Tower location is a great place where guests can enjoy elevated Italian cuisine and relax with friends and family. We are constantly seeking ambitious individuals who want to grow with our company as we continue to expand.

DESCRIPTION

The Pizzaiolo is responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas in a fast-paced kitchen environment using traditional methods and recipes. The ideal candidate has a passion for Italian cuisine, experience working with pizza ovens in a high-volume restaurant setting, and a strong commitment to food quality and consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Pizzaiolo and two years in a kitchen environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with traditional Italian pizza style (Neapolitan, Roman, etc.) is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a high-volume restaurant or bar is preferred.
  • Food Safe certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare pizza dough and ingredients according to established recipes from the Recipe Binder.
  • Operate and maintain wood-fired or stone pizza ovens.
  • Stretch, top, and cook pizzas to order with precision and consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the pizza station and all food prep areas.
  • Ability to stand, move quickly, bend and lift continually for an extended period.
  • Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or needs to the Chef.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Promote a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, respect, and professionalism.
