JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on creating delicious pizzas that meet our high standards of quality. This role requires a commitment to food safety and hygiene, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Strong background in fine dining or restaurant experience, particularly in pizza preparation.
  • Proficient in culinary skills including knife skills, meal preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
  • Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new pizza offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, mixers, and cutting tools.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Handle food items with care, following proper food handling procedures at all times.
  • Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests.
