Job Summary and Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in the healthcare IT industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, solutioning, designing, and implementing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and SQLs to support our healthcare software applications. As a PL/SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with business needs and driving the success of our healthcare IT projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in PL/SQL development and systems analysis in the healthcare IT industry
• Strong proficiency in database design, data modeling, and PL/SQL programming
• Shell Scripting Knowledge
• Basic working knowledge of Java
• Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA
• Experience with Oracle databases and healthcare software applications

PREFERRED TECHNOLOGY/EXPERIENCE:

• Data Modeling tools (e.g., erwin, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler)
• Healthcare IT systems and applications
• SQL Tuning and Optimization techniques
• Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools
• Healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)

• Understand the data, business requirement and perform data analysis to support building new PL/SQL object and/or modify existing ones
• Perform code promotions and unit test that the codes are operating correctly
• Perform Technical Review of requirements, analyze source data and provide gap analysis
• Demonstrate the organization’s Core Competencies and values held within
• Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments
• Research, construct, develop, and test complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts for new developments
• Coordinate cross-functional projects as assigned and interact with all areas of the organization to achieve timely results
• Work with the advanced features of PL/SQL like collections, nested table, ref cursors, materialize views and dynamic SQL
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements
• Communicate with end users on functional and logical issue and facilitate discussions to arrive at a solution
• Use of structured coding methodology and to follow organization’s PL/SQL development guideline/coding practice such that the developed code is reusable and shared across projects and of high standard
• Monitor and optimize database and PL/SQL object performance to ensure optimal application response time
• Perform code reviews/walk-throughs and unit testing of code developed by team members
• Work with team members to develop program units that integrate seamlessly into the overall system
• Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules
