This role will see you partnering with a diverse portfolio of clients – including ASX 200 companies and large private organizations – to design and deliver market‑leading financial lines risk transfer solutions. The Opportunity As Placement Director, FSG – Global & Corporate, you will operate from within Aon’s Financial Services Group and report to National Leader FSG G&C. You will be a senior placement broker and technical resource for our largest corporate clients, shaping placement strategy across the Global & Corporate segment and leveraging Aon’s Global Broking Centre and international network. . You will be at the forefront of complex Financial Lines placements for: ASX 200 companies Large private corporates with complex operational and financial risk profiles At Aon, our Placement team leverages insurance markets locally and globally to obtain the best results for our clients. What the day will look like Key responsibilities will include - Providing Financial Lines technical advice and placement guidance to Aon’s Global & Corporate clients in New South Wales, Leading, managing and mentoring Placement Managers and Placement Executives Coordinating the broader placement team to deliver cohesive risk transfer strategies specific to Financial Lines Leading negotiations with underwriters and senior executives within our carrier partners to secure optimal terms Contributing to and implementing our market engagement strategies, ensuring strong, strategic relationships with local and international markets Shaping and refining Aon’s policy structures and wordings to address emerging financial lines risks and client‑specific requirements Creating and sharing insights with clients, carriers and colleagues using Aon’s data & analytics platforms to inform decision‑making and differentiate our offering How this opportunity is different You are always more than just a job title at Aon, you’ll join a culture that values curiosity, integrity and teamwork. Skills and experience that will lead to success Extensive experience within the Financial Lines insurance market with a distinct focus on risk identification and risk transfer for financial lines risk exposures Strong technical understanding of a broad range of Financial Lines Insurance products and risk solutions, including PI, D&O and Crime; Demonstrated success in managing team relationships and senior-level client relationships; Proven experience structuring and placing complex Directors’ and Officers’ Liability and Professional Indemnity programs for ASX listed companies Demonstrable track record in clearly articulating and delivering insurer engagement strategies for large or technically challenging risks Demonstrated success in managing team relationships and senior-level client relationship Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at senior levels with clients, markets and internal stakeholders A resilient, proactive approach, comfortable working in an ever‑changing environment with competing priorities and deadlines Advanced analytical capability – able to interpret data, portfolio performance and market trends and translate them into clear recommendations Proficient in contract reviews – able to review key clauses, recommend enhanced positions and provide strategic advice on how to insure A developed insurer network at all levels and the ability to maintain and strengthen strategic market relationships How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce.
