JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Placement Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of student internships. The ideal candidate will coordinate with students, employers, and internal departments to ensure successful placement experience, compliance with institutional policies, and timely documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field.
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HR, placement(education) or related field
· Prior experience in internship coordination, student services, or employer relations is preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets).
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

PRE-INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Divide students into batches and compute appropriate internship start dates.
· Confirm internship dates and related schedules with the back-office administration.
· Communicate internship details to students and follow up on a weekly basis via calls and emails.
· Source and connect with suitable employers for student placements.
· Prepare and finalize internship agreements between students, host employers, and the institution.
· Update and maintain student profiles by adding host/employer details.
· Generate Practicum records as required for academic tracking.
· Coordinate with internal departments to confirm payment status and ensure marksheet updates before internships begin.
· Upload all required documents including:
o Internship Agreement
o Updated Resume
o WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) form

ONGOING AND ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

· Respond promptly to calls and emails from students, employers, and internal teams (daily task).
· Maintain and update Google Sheets to track student placements, documentation, and follow-ups.
· Rectify documentation errors highlighted by the audit department related to placement files.
