Job description
We are seeking to recruit an additional placement officer to join the Progressions Team following increased demand of learner placements and an expanding provider network. This position will also be required to lead and drive our quality assurance initiatives, focusing on maintaining and improving our educational standards and ensuring that our learners receive the best possible learning experience.
Students present a variety of learning and behavioural challenges, who find learning in a school setting challenging.
The Progressions Team helps match children with alternative provision interventions to support their educational journey, working with school staff and providers, along with parents and carers and children, to ensure that learners access provision which meets their educational, social and emotional needs, interests and aspirations.
Offering learners the opportunity to experience an alternative approach to learning and preparing them for reintegration into school/education setting, transition or further education.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide pay slip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
