The Department of Environmental Services (DES) [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DES]is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to serve as a Civil Engineering Plan Review Coordinator within the Plan Review Section in the Development Services Bureau (DSB). DSB manages and regulates various development activities that take place on private property or within the public right-of-way. This employee and two other Planners share the responsibility for managing and coordinating the departmental review and approval of civil engineering plans (CEPs) and Certificate of Occupancy (CO) applications for conformance with Federal, State, and County codes, County construction standards and specifications, departmental development policies, and special exception site plan and use permit conditions approved by the County Board.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the departmental review and approval of civil engineering plans and Certificate of Occupancy applications. Ensure all plans conform to Federal, State, and County codes, construction standards, and approved site plan conditions.
