Real People Solutions are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our public sector client, a respected housing organisation based in Lyndhurst, New Forest.
We’re seeking a Planned Maintenance Surveyor to join the team on a temp-to-perm basis, delivering vital housing improvement and refurbishment projects that directly benefit the local community.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BTEC HNC in a building-related subject
  • Exemption from RICS or CIOB exams and working towards/achieved full membership
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in contract administration within building/surveying
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, CAD, Building Regulations, and Health & Safety
  • Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities
  • Providing professional advice on property and construction matters, including building defects, costs, and design.
  • Leading feasibility studies, scheme designs, cost analyses, and specifications for works.
  • Acting as Contract Administrator on maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  • Preparing and managing tender/contract documentation and analysing prices to ensure value for money.
  • Monitoring budgets, timelines, and quality, reporting regularly to the Asset Maintenance Manager or Contract Manager.
  • Implementing cost-effective solutions through value engineering and contract performance analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Building Regulations, CDM 2015, and Council policies.
