Our Impact: From Planning to Perfection
At De Jong Packaging by Stora Enso, everything revolves around efficiency, sustainability, and customer focus. As a Production Planner, you make a difference by translating customer demands into flawless production runs. You ensure our machines operate at full capacity and that our customers receive their orders on time and in top quality. You work within the Supply Chain Planning team and report to the Scheduling & Planning Team Leader. You are at the heart of our operations, where speed, precision, and collaboration converge. In this dynamic role, your biggest challenge is creating the most efficient production plan possible, taking into account changeovers, trimming, loading capacities, and raw material consumption. Additionally, you play a central role in preventing waste, both in terms of time and materials.
What will you do?
- You create production plans for our corrugated board and processing lines and align them with the availability of people, machines, and materials.
- You translate customer orders into feasible plans, considering loading capacity, logistics, and delivery times.
- You continuously monitor production progress and make adjustments as necessary in consultation with the Master Planners.
- You process and verify the agreements from the “Planning Sheet” in our Scheduler, ensuring the entire team works with accurate information.
- You order raw materials based on your planning and ensure they are available on-site in a timely manner.
- You proactively identify bottlenecks, think in solutions, and quickly liaise with colleagues from production, transport, and sales.
- You analyze performance and use data to continuously improve planning performance.
What do you bring?
- You have a completed vocational education at level 4, preferably in logistics, technical, or business direction.
- You are available full-time and willing to work in a 3-shift system.
- Experience as a production planner is not required. We believe you can learn the profession as long as you have the right mindset.
- What do you need for that? Discipline, commitment, and the desire to improve every day. You are not afraid to make mistakes because that’s how you learn.
- You are proficient in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
- You work accurately, can switch between details and main lines, and are not overwhelmed by time pressure.
- You dare to address colleagues, take initiative, and feel responsible for the big picture.
- You are digitally skilled; experience with OMP, SAP, or similar planning software is a plus, but not a must.
What do we offer you?
- An independent and varied role within a leading and growing company in the packaging industry.
- A permanent contract in prospect, following a temporary appointment.
- A good salary with shift allowance, travel allowance, and pension scheme.
- A driven and helpful team where there is room for humor and sharp analyses.
- Plenty of opportunities for training, education, and advancement
- Both within planning and towards logistics or Supply Chain management.
- Modern systems and planning software (OMP), with which you can perform your work professionally.
