Description The Planner/Purchaser is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in building a career in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing. This position supports purchasing, planning, and inventory control activities to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with suppliers, managing inventory, and using ERP systems (GeniusERP) while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role provides strong exposure to real-world supply chain processes and opportunities for growth and development. Requirements · Assist in planning and purchasing materials, components, and supplies to support production needs. · Create and manage purchase orders based on system recommendations and guidance from senior team members. · Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules. · Monitor inventory levels and help identify potential shortages or excess stock. · Maintain accurate data within the ERP system (GeniusERP) for purchasing and inventory activities. · Support expediting orders and help resolve delivery or quantity issues. · Assist with sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotes. · Help track supplier performance and maintain vendor records. · Assist with invoice verification to ensure alignment with purchase orders and receipts. · Support incoming material inspections and documentation processes. · Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits. · Follow established purchasing and inventory control procedures. · Perform other related duties and projects as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities · Basic understanding of supply chain, purchasing, or business operations. · Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. · Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment. · Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. · Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to develop new skills. Education/Experience · Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or a related field. · Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in supply chain, operations, or business is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. · Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
