    About the role:
Facilitate the planning of production activities and formulate detailed schedules for modular building projects. This role is central to ensuring efficient production flow, optimal use of factory space, and maximising capacity. The Planner-Scheduler will be physically present on the factory floor at our High Wycombe facility, working closely with production teams to monitor progress, addressing challenges in real time, and making data-driven adjustments to schedules as needed.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Develop and maintain production and tender schedules to meet project timelines for modular building production and installation.
  • Collaborate with factory teams through daily yard walks to update production schedules, monitor progress, and release manufacturing metrics, ensuring real-time alignment with project milestones.
  • Optimise factory space and capacity by creating yard maps, modelling shift work scenarios, and forecasting risks of overlap or overruns for current and upcoming projects.
  • Document and forecast resource requirements including labour, subcontractors, and materials, aligning these with project schedules and budgets for clear financial visibility.
  • Interpret and communicate project-specific requirements, including scope, specifications, and drawings, to ensure compliance and identify areas needing specialist scheduling.
  • Establish and benchmark baseline production data in consultation with the production team, driving innovation and efficiencies to enhance throughput.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely reporting on schedules, costs, and areas of non-conformance, supporting strong administration and compliance with management systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by developing schedule templates, participating in training, and supporting best practices in planning and documentation.

About you:
You have 2–3 years’ experience in planning or scheduling within construction or manufacturing, with a sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills. Comfortable working independently, you thrive under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Your advanced skills in Microsoft Project and Excel, along with clear communication and a collaborative approach, make you a valuable addition to our factory team.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • A sound working knowledge of project management principles, with a focus on scheduling and planning
