As a Planning and Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction by overseeing engagement strategies and ensuring successful planning initiatives for our extensive mobile tower portfolio across the country. As a Planning and Engagement Manager in the Property team, you will be working alongside the Planning and Engagement Lead as well as the Site Acquisition teams assisting with the development of high quality, strategic, technical, and analytical resource management planning. You will play a big part in our ambitious build programme to deliver tower infrastructure across New Zealand. You will be involved with resource consent planning and stakeholder engagement across central and local Government, Mana Whenua and our customers, and in supporting the site acquisition and property management team by providing resource management guidance to the business. This role is based in our vibrant Auckland CBD office, where you will be joining a collaborative and innovative team committed to fostering a connected digital future. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing clear and concise RMA consenting advice to support passive infrastructure build projects and requests for RMA related assistance. Preparing quality and consistent resource management applications nationally from inception to completion; working with District and Regional councils, lodging applications and managing the process through to the granting of consent. Supporting the Planning Manager to prepare evidence on behalf of Connexa for Resource Consent and Policy Planning Hearing. Assisting with submissions on proposed Policy documents such as District Plans and National Legislation changes. Engaging with Local and Central Government on initiatives to improve the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure alongside the Planning Manager. Supporting site acquisition operations to ensure the procedures are kept updated to continually improve efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects. Contributing to the development, implementation and improvement of systems and processes to streamline site acquisition procedures, including efficiencies and standardisation in planning framework. Building constructive and collaborative external relationships through proactive contact and networking. You will have: Previous professional experience with Resource Consent Planning, ideally with a focus on infrastructure. Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute or eligible for membership. Degree or tertiary qualification in Resource Management, Urban Planning or related discipline. Excellent understanding of the Resource Management Act with willingness to keep up to date with current and future legislation changes. Fantastic communication skills in all formats. Ability to build relationships with local councils and stakeholders. A strong self-starter. A creative approach to problem-solving.
