Description
REGULAR POSITION Job Summary: The Planning and Logistics Analyst contributes to our client company success by analyzing data, monitoring inventory, and supporting logistics processes to ensure products are available on time and at the lowest possible cost. Responsibility * Track the full purchase order cycle, from creation to final receipt, including all required financial and logistics documentation. * Manage import processes in SURI and coordinate delivery logistics with the distribution center. * Update and manage the forecast for key operational products and process their purchase orders. * Maintain and update the SKU database and technical sheets, and support product setups in the distribution center and in SAP. * Execute SAP transactions related to imports, purchase order creation, inventory adjustments, goods receipt, and auto shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely system updates. * Review, validate, and approve invoices related to freight, demurrage, storage, write‑offs, and handling. * Support cost adjustments and system updates, identifying alternatives for high‑cost products and recommending more efficient substitutes. * Manage claims related to quantity or billing discrepancies, coordinating directly with the distribution center and the company team. * Provide ongoing operational support to stores by managing daily issues with suppliers, ensuring timely resolution, and maintaining an organized log of all cases handled. * Monitor inventory levels and supplier updates to help prevent avoidable stockouts and ensure product availability. * Track key purchasing and logistics metrics, such as fill rate, inventory levels, and supplier performance, to identify trends and support continuous improvement. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields. * 2 to 4 years of experience in supervisory, logistics, inventory, or planning functions. * Experience using management systems such as SAP and basic knowledge of import platforms like SURI (preferred). * Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Excel. * Demonstrated ability to analyze data and solve problems in an operational environment. * Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English. * Ability to work effectively with suppliers, distribution centers, and internal teams.
