They are seeking a detail-oriented Planning and Operations Analyst to support their merchandising, planning, and operations teams. About the Role The Planning and Operations Analyst will combine analytical rigor with a deep understanding of product flow to support both commercial and operational sides of the business. This role focuses primarily on planning, including SKU-level forecasting, seasonal and in-season planning, and line plan architecture, while also supporting operations tasks to ensure products move efficiently from factory to customer. Key Responsibilities Planning Focus Analyze sales trends, product performance, and inventory health to support seasonal and annual merchandise planning. Partner with Merchandising to develop SKU-level forecasts and assortment strategies aligned with financial goals and brand vision. Own reporting on sales, margin, inventory position, and performance at category/class/style level to drive actionable insights. Maintain item master data and ensure accuracy across systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Monitor in-season business to identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions to maximize profitability and minimize markdowns. Assist with post-season recaps and strategic planning for future buys. Build and maintain line plan architecture, optimizing SKU productivity and channel efficiency. Support Open-to-Buy (OTB) management and size break distributions to ensure alignment with demand. Operations Focus Create and upload SKUs into Shopify. Review invoices and coordinate on-time payments. Collaborate with production to resolve EXF delays and track inventory. Perform monthly inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics with 3PL partners. Approve freight costs and identify ways to minimize expenses while ensuring timely delivery. Assist with launch coordination and cross-functional operational tasks. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or operations—preferably in apparel or consumer goods. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with WMS, ERP systems, and Shopify is a plus. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Passion for apparel, product storytelling, and operational excellence.
