This is a perm role for one of our clients in the Construction Industry
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Planning and Tender Manager to lead the pre-construction planning and tendering process for our ongoing and upcoming building and civil engineering projects. Although the position is office-based, the candidate must have a strong understanding of on-site construction activities to ensure accurate cost forecasting and effective planning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all planning and tendering activities across multiple construction projects
  • Develop detailed project plans, construction schedules, and resource allocation plans in coordination with project stakeholders
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimations, including materials, manpower, plant, subcontractor works, preliminaries, and risk contingencies
  • Study and interpret tender documents, project specifications, and drawings to ensure complete understanding of project requirements
  • Liaise with site teams, consultants, and suppliers to gather necessary inputs for accurate costing and planning
  • Manage the preparation and timely submission of tender documents, pricing schedules, and technical proposals
  • Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligationsMonitor tender outcomes and participate in post-tender negotiations or clarifications when required

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in planning, tendering, and cost estimation within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, site operations, and sequencing of works
  • Proven ability to produce detailed cost estimates and project schedules for both building and infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in planning and estimation software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, CostX, or equivalent
  • Familiar with local tender procedures, BCA regulations, and contract administration
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working under tight deadlines
