The position is responsible for ensuring Section 10.7 Planning Certificates are prepared accurately and in accordance with legislative requirements, with a strong focus on data integrity, compliance and efficiency. The role also supports the registration and progression of Subdivision Instruments and Section 88 applications by coordinating documentation, managing referrals and liaising with internal stakeholders, including Planning Officers and Engineers. In addition, the position acts as a central point of contact for enquiries, ensuring matters are directed to the appropriate officers or sections across Council. On a daily basis you will:  * Generate Section 10.7 Planning Certificates using Council’s GIS and Pathway systems, ensuring information is complete and accurate. * Review and analyse planning data, identifying and escalating anomalies to relevant internal officers or departments prior to certificate issue. * Respond to customer and internal enquiries relating to the lodgement and status of Section 10.7 Certificates. * Register and process Subdivision Instruments and Section 88 applications within Council’s database. * Assist with the issue of Subdivision and Section 88 Instruments, including uploading and managing documentation through the NSW Planning Portal. * Coordinate referrals and follow up with Planning Officers, Engineers and other internal stakeholders to support the timely assessment of applications. * Receive and triage telephone enquiries, ensuring matters are referred to the correct officer or Council section.   About You  The successful candidate should have previous experience working in a fast paced / high volume environment processing Section 10.7 Planning Certificates, subdivision instruments and Section 88 applications. Ideally your experience would include working in a similar sized city Council as City of Parramatta, where you have been exposed to a similar diversity of development types.   You will also bring:  * Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Business Administration, Law or related discipline. * Demonstrated experience in a similar role with similar diversity as City of Parramatta Council in terms of commercial, industrial, residential and community development. * Understanding of the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the designated area and the proven ability to practically apply this knowledge. * Well-developed ability to communicate, negotiate, build relationships and influence others with an engaging approach and technique. * Strong time management and technology skills. * Demonstrated research and analytical skills. * Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act 1993, Conveyancing Act 1919 and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979   What’s on offer Permanent Full Time Opportunity  We are offering an attractive remuneration from $82,692.71 to $91,067.29 plus 12% superannuation.
