Planning & Delivery Manager Location: Kotka, Finland Company: Easpring Finland New Materials Oy Shape the Future of Sustainable Battery Materials Easpring Finland New Materials Oy is establishing a world-class cathode active materials manufacturing operation in Finland, supporting the rapidly growing European battery value chain. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Planning & Delivery Manager to lead our Planning and Delivery Department and play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is a key leadership position responsible for integrating production planning, operational management, material management, warehousing, and delivery activities to ensure the successful execution of business objectives and production targets. About the Role As Planning & Delivery Manager, you will lead the company's central planning and execution function, translating business objectives into actionable operational plans. You will coordinate cross-functional resources, drive performance management processes, optimize supply chain and inventory operations, and ensure the reliable delivery of products to customers. Working closely with site leadership and global stakeholders, you will establish robust operational systems, oversee production planning activities, and continuously improve planning, logistics, and delivery performance. Key Responsibilities Operational Planning & Business Performance Develop and coordinate annual business plans aligned with company objectives and strategic priorities. Lead the implementation and monitoring of operational plans to ensure achievement of production and business targets. Coordinate cross-functional resources and key initiatives to support operational excellence. Establish and facilitate regular operational review meetings, providing performance analysis and recommendations. Develop and maintain company-wide performance management systems and KPI frameworks. Support leadership teams in driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programs. Operations Management Systems Establish and maintain the company's operational management framework, including processes, policies, and emergency management procedures. Support the development of strategic and operational plans in alignment with corporate objectives and subsidiary requirements. Ensure operational governance systems remain effective, compliant, and continuously improved. Production Planning Lead the development of production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, operational requirements, and production capacity. Optimize production scheduling to maximize equipment utilization, minimize changeover costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency. Monitor production progress and ensure achievement of production plan targets. Coordinate outsourcing activities, process management, and material preparation requirements when applicable. Material Management Develop and manage raw material and consumable demand plans. Establish and maintain safety stock policies and inventory control processes. Drive initiatives to improve inventory turnover and reduce obsolete or idle inventory. Oversee management of waste materials, non-conforming materials, and inventory abnormalities. Coordinate material consumption analysis and support inventory verification activities with Finance and Operations teams. Warehousing & Logistics Establish and optimize warehouse management systems and operational standards. Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient receiving, storage, and shipping processes. Monitor inventory performance and provide regular analytical reporting. Drive continuous improvements in warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow. Delivery Management Coordinate with production, quality, logistics, and customer-facing teams to ensure on-time product delivery. Implement shipping standards, delivery procedures, and logistics performance requirements. Ensure customer delivery commitments are consistently achieved while maintaining operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, operations management, logistics, or manufacturing planning roles. Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in chemicals, battery materials, process industries, metals, or related sectors. Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and performance management systems. Experience implementing operational processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of ERP and planning systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment. Fluency in English is required; Finnish and/or Chinese language skills are considered an advantage.
