We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Development Manager to join our Power team in Brisbane on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to a Head of Development, you will lead and coordinate development activities for power generation from concept to construction, initially development projects are likely to be renewable energy projects integrated with APA’s existing gas fired power generation assets in Queensland. Key Responsibilities Lead negotiations with landowners and Traditional Owners for access, compensation, and survey activities. Define and implement planning and environmental approval pathways, including consultant engagement and regulatory submissions. Coordinate project-wide planning approvals and manage environmental referrals and compliance. Oversee mapping and cadastral requirements to support tenure and construction. Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies, including community consultation and issue resolution. Your background Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (for example Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction, Sustainability) Extensive understanding of Project development experience within the power or renewable energy industry Project development or project management experience on infrastructure projects from $10m to $100m+ The ability and willingness to travel periodically within Queensland, including remote areas Working at APA At APA we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
