Job Description OVERVIEW: Location: Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok Department: Engineering Entity: Thai AirAsia Status: Full-time YOUR ROLE AS A PLANNING ENGINEER As a Planning Engineer, this role is responsible for the strategic scheduling, resource allocation, and logistical preparation of all aircraft maintenance checks to ensure continuous airworthiness, operational requirements, and efficiency. WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION: Maintenance Scheduling: Perform short-term and long-term forecasting for all maintenance needs, and execute Hangar Check Dock Planning to maximize facility and time utilization. Work Package & Task Management: Prepare and issue compliant Maintenance Work Packages. Plan and manage both scheduled and unscheduled tasks to meet operational requirements. Resource Management: Plan and manage critical resources, including manpower, facilities, and the forecasting and management of aircraft components and spare parts inventory. Coordination: Coordinate all maintenance activities with external MROs and internal departments (Flight Ops, Maintenance, Tech Services) and distribute timely status updates. Data & Compliance: Monitor and compile aircraft and engine hours/cycles for accurate maintenance trigger prediction. Safety & Security: Strictly adhere to all TAA safety policies and regulations, promptly reporting deficiencies/hazards. Uphold security standards by challenging and reporting unauthorized access on premises. WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor's Degree in Aircraft Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. At least 1 year of experience in aircraft planning, engineering, and technical records. Knowing aircraft maintenance and engineering procedures. Strong communication in English and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization. Computer skills- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project, and Google Products for work. Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities, and work under pressure.
